BISP 8171 Update: Rs13,500 Reversed for New Beneficiaries
There’s some unexpected and unfortunate news for women who were recently approved under the BISP program. The amount initially transferred to their accounts has now been removed, and their accounts currently show a zero balance.
What Happened to the BISP Payments?
On July 16, 2025, around 5:00 PM, the Rs. 13,500 payment was withdrawn from the accounts of these newly approved beneficiaries. According to reports, the payments have been temporarily reversed and are expected to be re-added after July 25.

Who Was Affected?
The following groups of women have been affected:
- Women who were recently approved under BISP and had just received their first installment.
- Women who had Rs 13,500 in their accounts but hadn’t withdrawn the amount yet.
- New beneficiaries declared eligible about a week ago — their payments were also withdrawn.
When Will the Money Be Returned?
According to sources, the funds were removed due to technical issues across several banks, including:
- HBL Konnect
- JazzCash
- Easypaisa
- Bank of Punjab
- Bank Alfalah
The issue is temporary, and once BISP upper management issues a notification, payments are expected to be restored to all affected accounts, most likely after July 25.
Important Instructions for New Beneficiaries
If you were recently approved or had just received money in your account:
- Please do not visit any retailer shop or campsite at this time.
- Wait patiently. Once the issue is resolved and payments are restored, you will receive a confirmation SMS from 8171.
- Avoid visiting payment centers or standing in queues — your payment is not lost, it is temporarily delayed.
